Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned first.

Anger is the emotional response that we have to an external or internal event perceived as a threat, a violation or injustice. And this is perhaps the most misunderstood of human emotions.

Anger has different ways of manifestation in different individuals. You may break furniture, utensils, throw things around, smash glass window, clench your fist to release steam, scream, speak harsh words or storm out of the house and possible bang the door or even get physical and some withdrawn into their shell. These are signs of anger gone wrong. The items are replaceable, but the scar your action leaves in the heart of the receiver is sometimes irreparable.

Yes, you may say “You have the right to be angry”, and sure you will not be punished for your anger because is a healthy emotion; but you will be punished by your anger!
